There are a dozen things to think of when creating the layouts. 

 

The Question you need to ask is!

What is the purpose of the space?

• Cars Only 

• Workshop and car space 

• Mancave area  (weekend retreat)

• Office space

• Storage

• Hazardous materials storage

• Position of Stairs and Clearance distances

• Placement of amenities ie. washroom

 

 With each of these, there needs to be dedicated and transitional space as well as an allowance for traffic direction at any given time.

Workbench sizes, hoist and vehicle dimensions, lockable storage sizes, and allocation need to be addressed.

Allocated spaces for welders and air compressors with the ability to run airlines to multiple outlets. 

Other considerations will be ceiling clearance when using hoists, parking caravans, and the installation of adequate lighting fixtures.

Heating and cooling elements are other elements often thought of after the space is erected.

 

Lighting and Electrical Diagrams

Power and lighting requirements are also a consideration overlooked and thought through early can reduce the use of ugly and potentially dangerous extension leads and save hundreds of dollars installing extras at a later date.

These are definitely underrated and detail what needs to be considered in each area and this is where we can be of assistance.
